Many women vote for women just BECAUSE they're women, many blacks vote for Obama JUST BECAUSE he's black. This is BAD, very BAD. Because it means that these people who vote for their kind don't want fairness, they want SPECIAL PRIVILEGES, they want entitlements that go specifically for them.

why can't women and minorities play a FAIR GAME, and stop voting for their own just so they can take from whites and give it to themselves? Is it because they're jealous, have an insecurity complex?

the policies of Hillary and Obama discriminate against white males, that's not fair, that's bad. McCain is not even that good either, he's a liberal.

why can't women and minorities play fair and pick the candidates that don't racialize and genderize everything? It seems like women and minorities just want privileges, special entitlements that discriminate for them. This isn't fairness, this is envy.

umm, if employers discriminated against age and end up losing some of the best people, that will only jeopardize their own businesses. What employer would discriminate on race or age KNOWING that they're "most qualified"? They don't, because that would be bad for their own businesses.

yeah gender plays an issue, because men and women are good at different things. Get over it, there are mental and physical differences between men and women. Smart employers would look for qualified candidates, not look for filling gender quotas and making sure there are an even number of men and women, or an even number of ethnicities.

yes, more qualified candidates get a better hand dealt than less qualified candidates, get over it.

Not to sound overly defensive, but I think that th...

Not to sound overly defensive, but I think that this presidential election -- with age, gender and race playing key roles in voter decisions, along with economic factors, of course, is making exactly that point.

If you don't believe racism exists in the workplace, if you don't think ageism causes some of the most qualified people to be eliminated from consideration for jobs, and if you're not convinced that gender issues still play a factor in who and how jobs and promotions are determined, then I congratulate you on your optimism.

Without trivializing the challenges facing all workers, I still believe some get dealt a better hand than others.

I totally agree with your points about jobs being lost, and I applaud your view of the family as a support system. Why do...

what's with all this "diversity" posturing? Why do you racialize and genderize every issue, without there being an issue in the first place? What are you referring to "job and wage equality for women." There is no such thing as job "inequality for women." the phrase is so meaningless and obscure.

Many men have lost their jobs, because manufacturing sectors have been lost in the US, do you make a blog entry about that? No, because it's men. So what gives? Why do you have such an insecurity complex and have the need to racialize and genderize everything when there is no need to? Why do you give women preferential treatment in this blog, and make it seem like all men are doing fine and dandy, and women aren't? It's the opposite in the US today, more women are doing better than more men. Men have the highest suicide rate, especially younger boys. What's up with that?

Your genderizing and racializing every issue in the masquerade of "equality" or "diversity" is so meaningless. It's like as if society should somehow change things because some women are losing jobs. What about men who are losing jobs? Nothing, it doesn't matter, it's men.

Then you mention high costs of daycare. Hello?? ever heard of families? Parents aren't supposed to pay for day care, because that's what families are for. Parents aren't supposed to be intentionally single, families need fathers and mothers, so that one of them takes care of kids and the other works. Fathers can be home makers too, and have the mother work. Most jobs are so mundane, that many men would love to be homemaker fathers and teach their kids at home.

quit genderizing and racializing everything, it's totally absurd, and it only reveals an insecurity complex.
